  • Will buying a membership online give me instant access?
    Absolutely! We've streamlined the process to ensure you can start working out straight away. After signing up, you'll receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to set up Bluetooth access using your phone. If you prefer a physical key tag you may purchase one from reception for $15. You can conveniently grab a gym key during our office hours. We're here to make your workouts as easy and seamless as possible!
  • Where are you located and what are your Office Hours?
    We are located at 107 Blenheim Road in Riccarton https://goo.gl/maps/Ui31igRXpoLGq9xa6 Feel free to pop in and take a look around our facility. Our friendly staff would love to show you around. Our office is open from: Monday – Thursday 12:00pm – 7:30pm Friday 12:00pm – 6:00pm Saturday 10:00am – 2:00pm *Office closed over a specified Christmas and New Year period. You can now sign up online for instant gym access.
  • What’s the minimum age to join?
    The minimum age to become a Member at Affinity is 16 Years of age. Any person age 16 or 17 must have a parent or guardian co-sign the Agreement to join Affinity if you intend to join on a Weekly contract. Paid-in-full (PIF) Memberships do not require a guardian's signature.
  • What are the membership lengths offered?
    We provide flexible membership options ranging from a casual entry passes to 36 months. To explore our offerings in detail, please visit our Join Now page.   • Do you offer Casual Entry / Gym Day pass memberships?
    Certainly! We offer various 24/7 options to cater to your needs. We offer: Pay-as-you go Single Pass Entry 5-Entry Concession 10-Entry Concession 20- Entry concession Pay-as-you-go holds your payment details securely online and only charges you when you check into the gym entry door on the day of use. 
These Memberships are great for those who are passing through or just visiting Christchurch for a short period. Casual membership options provide flexibility to suit your schedule and preferences. There is no expiry date on these passes.
  • 5-day Trial
    Trials are only available in-store. Please feel free to pop in during staffed hours and we can set you up with a 5-day Trial in just under 5 minutes. *A Trial Bond may apply. Our office is open from: Monday – Thursday 12:00pm – 7:30pm Friday 12:00pm – 6:00pm Saturday 10:00am – 2:00pm
  • How do I get Bring-A-Friend & Outdoor Gym Access on my Membership?
    To access these add-ons sign up for our Ultimate Access memberships. You can grab the Ultimate Access Add-on anytime at Reception. This add-on is $5.99 per week. When you sign up for this Add-on you will have this applied to the remainder of your membership term. For example if you have completed 6 month of a 12 month membership this add-on will apply for a minimum of the remainder of your 6 month term.
  • How do I sign my Bring-a-Friend into the gym?
    You can either add this during the initial sign up with our Ultimate add on or add it later at reception. Important notes:
 1. The first time your friend visits they will have to enter their details by using the wall-mounted iPad at reception > first time friend > enter details (including emergency contact)

 2. Once complete, You will Swipe your key at the bring-a-friend scanner above the reception iPad when your friend each time your friend is visiting the gym with you. 

 3. Bring-A-Friend allows you to bring 1 friend each time you train. 

 4. KEYS / DIGITAL KEYS ARE NOT TO BE SHARED WITH YOUR FRIEND. THEY MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY YOU 5. You may have a maximum number of two friends associated with your membership at any time. To add/remove friends from your membership please ask at reception.
  • What are the membership payment options (direct debit & credit card vs pay-in-full)?
    We offer flexible payment options to suit. When signing up, you can choose to pay weekly or pay-in-full. WEEKLY: Your payment will be automatically deducted by our trusted direct debit company, Payrix. This allows you to enjoy the convenience of hassle-free payments for the duration of your membership. It is important to note that Weekly memberships are minimum term. This means if you wish to cancel you must provide 4 weeks’ notice once your Chosen minimum term has been completed. PAID-IN-FULL: Our pay-in-full memberships offer a contract free fixed-term option, providing you with a set duration for your membership.
  • What times are each areas of the gym open?
    All indoor Gym areas are open 24/7 The Outdoor Gym is open everyday: 5 am - 10 pm The Boxing area is open to all members 24/7 excluding the following times: Monday: 4 pm to 8:45 pm Wednesday: 2:30 pm to 8:45 pm
  • I've signed up online, how do I access the gym? when can I collect the key?
    Welcome aboard! Kindly check your email for a link to download the GymMaster App. This App will act as your entry Digital entry key granting your access to our facility 24/7. 1. To get your Digital access key to the gym you will need to open and login to the app with the same Email username and Password you used when purchasing a membership. 2. To Enter you will need to click the Bluetooth Key function at the bottom of the App and hold this near the Key reader (BE SURE NOT TO HOLD TO CLOSE!). There are two entry doors at Affinity. One to access the building and the next to access the gym. You will need to SCAN both to enter. (REMEMBER TO ENABLE BLUETOOTH). 3. Below are the links to the GymMaster App on the Apple and Google play store. Gym key purchase is available during our office hours: Monday – Thursday 12:00pm – 7:30pm Friday 12:00pm – 6:00pm Saturday 10:00am – 2:00pm If these times don't suit your schedule, please reach out to us, and we'll do our best to accommodate your needs.
  • How do I use my free PT session?
    ypically, one of our personal trainers will reach out to you within a week of signup. However, if you prefer, you can proactively choose a personal trainer who aligns with your goals and preferences. Take a look at their specialties on our PT page, and feel free to contact them via email, text, or a quick call to schedule a session at a convenient time. Your chosen personal trainer will then guide you through the process from there.

  • Can I bring a friend and how many can I have?
    To enjoy the benefit of bringing a friend along, simply add the bring-a-friend add-on to your membership for an additional $4.99 per week. Please note that a minimum term of one month applies. For detailed information on the signup process, please refer to our dedicated bring-a-friend page.
  • How to update my billing details
    Please log in to Member's Portal Account > Update Billing Info If you are paying by bank account, you might wonder...what's account BSB? The first 6 number of your bank account. e.g. your account number is: 12-3456-7777888-99 Account BSB: 123456 Account Number: 777788899 (no "-", no space between the numbers when you enter)
  • How long can I hold membership?
    If you need to take a break from your membership, you have the option to put it on hold for a maximum of three months per year. It's important to note that if you are paying weekly or fortnightly, this hold period will extend your minimum term accordingly. To proceed with placing your membership on hold, a hold fee of $25 applies. You can conveniently apply for the hold by accessing our hold form.
  • How to cancel an add-on?

  • Can I transfer my membership?
    Yes, you can. To transfer your membership to another person, both you and the individual you're transferring it to will need to visit our reception during office hours. Our team will facilitate the transfer process for you. Please be aware that a transfer fee of $30 will apply. If the office hours are not suitable for you, please don't hesitate to contact us. We're here to assist you and find a solution that works best for your circumstances.
